Golf breaks in Murcia: the courses worth the drive

La Torre, on the doorstep, is a Nicklaus design that plays shorter than the card suggests and punishes anyone who ignores the water on the back nine. It is the obvious first round of any trip because you can walk to the first tee.

Further out, El Valle (25 minutes) is the local favourite — hillier, tighter, and more interesting than the flat resort courses. Hacienda del Álamo (30 minutes) is the longest of them and the most exposed to wind. Mar Menor and Saurines round out the group, both within half an hour.

Green fees drop sharply outside the March–May and September–October peaks, and most of the courses will do a multi-round package if you book the rounds together.
